A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a temporary license to practice medicine. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 155, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 155.1045 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 155.1045. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF TEMPORARY LICENSE |
|
|
HOLDER. Notwithstanding any other law, the holder of a temporary |
|
|
license issued under Section 155.104(a) has the same rights and |
|
|
obligations as imposed by the laws of this state on the holder of a |
|
|
permanent unrestricted license issued under this chapter, |
|
|
including prescriptive authority. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
