R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Evelyn Bruton has been named salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2017 at Tascosa High School, and she indeed merits special |
|
|
recognition for receiving this significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top-ranking students in her class, Ms. Bruton demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Henry and Stephanie Bruton, |
|
|
Ms. Bruton gained the opportunity to address her fellow seniors at |
|
|
commencement and to reflect on their shared history as well as their |
|
|
hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Tascosa High, Evelyn Bruton |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Evelyn |
|
|
Bruton, salutatorian of the Class of 2017 at Tascosa High School, |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bruton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
