WHEREAS, The second annual N'gee BBQ Cookoff hosted by | ||
Normangee FFA Alumni & Supporters is taking place on March 22 and | ||
23, 2024; and | ||
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers | ||
Association, this much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs | ||
from across the state; these highly skilled pitmasters are putting | ||
their culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the | ||
tastiest entries in several different categories; and | ||
WHEREAS, The competition raises funds to benefit Normangee | ||
FFA, a high school program with the goal of developing the next | ||
generation of agricultural leaders; and | ||
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the | ||
N'gee BBQ Cookoff is sure to offer everyone in attendance the chance | ||
to enjoy good food and good times while supporting a worthwhile | ||
cause; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2024 N'gee | ||
BBQ Cookoff and extend to the organizers, participants, and | ||
attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. | ||
