R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Juvenile Justice Providers |
|
Association are visiting the State Capitol on March 27, 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, A nonprofit organization, the Texas Juvenile |
|
Justice Providers Association promotes quality services for youth |
|
and families who are currently involved with the juvenile justice |
|
system as well as for those who are at risk; and |
|
WHEREAS, With goals to decrease the number of youth in the |
|
juvenile justice system and to best ensure future success for young |
|
Texans at risk, the TJJPA strives to prevent delinquency, violence, |
|
and substance abuse; in addition to these worthy goals, the |
|
organization encourages research, training, and education to |
|
establish best practice standards for service providers, and it |
|
supports county juvenile probation offices with their demanding |
|
work; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through its advocacy and expertise, the Texas |
|
Juvenile Justice Providers Association is helping to create a |
|
brighter future for countless young Texans, and its efforts are |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor the Texas Juvenile Justice Providers |
|
Association and extend to all those affiliated with the |
|
organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
