WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with the | ||
passing of Phyllis Barbara Giovannelli of San Antonio on January | ||
12, 2023, at the age of 80; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of Chester and Sylvia Rudnicki, the | ||
former Phyllis Rudnicki was born on September 5, 1942, in Franklin | ||
Park, Illinois, and grew up sharing in the companionship of a | ||
sister, Connie; she later attended Roosevelt University, where she | ||
earned a degree in psychology; and | ||
WHEREAS, She married Raymond Giovannelli in 1965, and the | ||
couple went on to enjoy a rewarding marriage that spanned nearly six | ||
decades; Mrs. Giovannelli devoted herself to raising their three | ||
children, Laura, Scott, and Shelley, and with the passing years, | ||
she saw her family grow to include eight grandchildren and two | ||
great-grandchildren; her life was further enriched by her beloved | ||
dog, Mia; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Giovannelli worked at Grainger Industrial | ||
Supply for more than three decades; she also took an active role in | ||
her community as a member of the Niles Sister Cities Association; in | ||
retirement, she and her husband traveled between Illinois and Texas | ||
before making a permanent move to the Lone Star State; and | ||
WHEREAS, Although Phyllis Giovannelli is deeply missed, she | ||
has left her family and friends with a wealth of memories that they | ||
will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Phyllis Barbara | ||
Giovannelli and extend sincere condolences to the members of her | ||
family: to her husband, Raymond Giovannelli; to her children, Laura | ||
Giovannelli Kloberdanz and her husband, Jerry, Scott Giovannelli | ||
and his wife, Mary, and Shelley Fallon and her husband, Richie; to | ||
her grandchildren, Tony and his wife, Maddie, Joey and his wife, | ||
Melinda, Michael, Dominick, Alisa, Max, Macy, and Joe; to her | ||
great-grandchildren, Liam and Luca; to her sister, Constance Grube, | ||
and her husband, Dennis; and to her other relatives and friends; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Phyllis | ||
Giovannelli. |
