R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Calvin and Naomi Thompson of Canton are celebrating |
|
|
their 60th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2011, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Calvin Ray Thompson and the former Naomi Jane Barger |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony at New Bethel Methodist Church in |
|
|
Vergennes, Illinois, in 1951, and over the course of their |
|
|
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes 3 children, Lyle, Leveta, and Lowell, as |
|
|
well as 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with whom they |
|
|
share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Calvin and Naomi Thompson have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Calvin and Naomi Thompson on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Thompson as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
