R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The Georgetown Fire Department held a dedication
  ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station No. 2 on March 16,
  2013; and
         WHEREAS, Built at a cost of $1.7 million, Fire Station No. 2
  will serve central Georgetown; and
         WHEREAS, With two fire engines and a hazardous materials
  response vehicle housed there, the facility provides coverage for
  downtown Georgetown and much of the central part of the city; and
         WHEREAS, A credit to the planning and foresight of fire chief
  John Sullivan and other city officials, Georgetown's new fire
  station is a vital and reassuring presence in the community; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the new Fire
  Station No. 2 in Georgetown and commend all those who contributed to
  its creation for a job well done; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the station as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
