| WHEREAS, The Georgetown Fire Department held a dedication | ||
| ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station No. 2 on March 16, | ||
| 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Built at a cost of $1.7 million, Fire Station No. 2 | ||
| will serve central Georgetown; and | ||
| WHEREAS, With two fire engines and a hazardous materials | ||
| response vehicle housed there, the facility provides coverage for | ||
| downtown Georgetown and much of the central part of the city; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A credit to the planning and foresight of fire chief | ||
| John Sullivan and other city officials, Georgetown's new fire | ||
| station is a vital and reassuring presence in the community; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the new Fire | ||
| Station No. 2 in Georgetown and commend all those who contributed to | ||
| its creation for a job well done; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the station as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
