R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The Georgetown Fire Department held a dedication |
|
|
ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station No. 2 on March 16, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Built at a cost of $1.7 million, Fire Station No. 2 |
|
|
will serve central Georgetown; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With two fire engines and a hazardous materials |
|
|
response vehicle housed there, the facility provides coverage for |
|
|
downtown Georgetown and much of the central part of the city; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A credit to the planning and foresight of fire chief |
|
|
John Sullivan and other city officials, Georgetown's new fire |
|
|
station is a vital and reassuring presence in the community; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the new Fire |
|
|
Station No. 2 in Georgetown and commend all those who contributed to |
|
|
its creation for a job well done; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the station as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
