R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Paul and Susan Voss of |
|
|
Fairlie celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March |
|
|
17, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Voss and the former Susan Argo were joined in |
|
|
matrimony in 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Richardson; over |
|
|
the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
|
includes their children, Philip Voss and his wife, Rebel, and Holly |
|
|
Gonzalez and her husband, Marc, as well as their four |
|
|
grandchildren, Hayden, Dominick, Benjamin, and Kaitlyn; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Fairlie community for nearly |
|
|
four decades, Mrs. Voss is retired from a 33-year career with the |
|
|
Texas A&M University--Commerce library, and Mr. Voss serves as the |
|
|
executive director of the Commerce Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Voss have enjoyed half a century of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Susan Voss on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Voss as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
