| WHEREAS, Rese Schoonover of Stratford High School achieved | ||
| great distinction by winning two medals at the 2021 University | ||
| Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Closing out her final season of high school | ||
| competition, Ms. Schoonover joined the other top athletes in Texas | ||
| at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 7; she turned in an | ||
| outstanding performance, capturing silver medals in the 100-meter | ||
| and 300-meter hurdles with times of 15.12 seconds and 45.62 | ||
| seconds, respectively; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for | ||
| high school track and field athletes, Rese Schoonover has ably | ||
| represented her school and community, and she will cherish her | ||
| memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Rese Schoonover on winning silver | ||
| medals in the 2A 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the 2021 UIL | ||
| Track & Field State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Schoonover as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
