R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Tanner Mauro of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 399 |
|
|
in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Mauro earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|
|
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|
|
community; during the course of a landscaping project at Casis |
|
|
Elementary School, he removed more than 200 nonnative trees and |
|
|
shrubs from the school's forest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Don and Kathy Mauro, this fine young Texan |
|
|
has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his |
|
|
scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of his fellow |
|
|
scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting offers; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Mauro's dedication to excellence and his |
|
|
perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |
|
|
stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Tanner Mauro |
|
|
on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Mauro as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
