R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Since opening in 2009, Harmony School of Innovation |
|
|
in Carrollton has earned a reputation for excellence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Currently offering classes from kindergarten |
|
|
through the ninth grade, Harmony School of Innovation provides |
|
|
students with character education and leadership development, as |
|
|
well as courses that lay the foundation for admission to college; |
|
|
math, science, and technology are emphasized in the curriculum, and |
|
|
the classroom experience is enhanced by such extracurricular |
|
|
activities as Robotics, Science Olympiad, MATHCOUNTS, and Advanced |
|
|
Science Fair; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The school encourages students to participate |
|
|
beyond the classroom and parents to become actively involved in |
|
|
their child's education, and it has earned an Exemplary rating from |
|
|
the Texas Education Agency; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Thanks to inspiring and dedicated teachers and an |
|
|
atmosphere that encourages both discipline and creative thinking, |
|
|
the students of the Harmony School of Innovation are receiving a |
|
|
strong educational foundation on which to build; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the Harmony School of Innovation in |
|
|
Carrollton for its achievements and extend to its students and |
|
|
faculty sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
