R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Braden Berryman and Kenneth Pickett of the |
|
|
Kirbyville Wildcat Bassmasters Club achieved great distinction by |
|
|
capturing first place in the youth competition at the Pro |
|
|
Bassmaster Elite Tournament in Orange on March 21, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Berryman and Mr. Pickett qualified for the |
|
|
event by finishing in the top 10 of the SETX High School Fishing |
|
|
Association 2014-2015 standings after tournaments held in December |
|
|
and February; in so doing, they earned the opportunity to fish with |
|
|
an Elite Series professional as a part of the tournament in Orange; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing in the waters of the Sabine River with |
|
|
fishing pro Jared Lintner providing instruction, the duo reeled in |
|
|
three bass for a total of 11 pounds, 0.02 ounces, to claim the |
|
|
championship trophy; moreover, they each received a $500 |
|
|
scholarship for winning the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These talented young anglers demonstrated |
|
|
exceptional skill and determination in pursuit of their goals, and |
|
|
they are a source of great pride to their classmates and their |
|
|
community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Braden Berryman and Kenneth |
|
|
Pickett on their performance at the 2015 Bassmaster Elite |
|
|
Tournament and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Berryman and Mr. Pickett as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
