R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dave Abdel has served with distinction as Democratic |
|
|
Party precinct chair of Precinct 4059 in Bexar County; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their |
|
|
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better |
|
|
state and nation for current and future generations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |
|
|
citizens must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |
|
|
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to |
|
|
inspire voters to support their parties' candidates are part of a |
|
|
proud and vital tradition in our state and nation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy |
|
|
toward promoting the Democratic Party goals of representing the |
|
|
interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities, |
|
|
and advancing a more inclusive society; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Dave Abdel for serving as Democratic |
|
|
Party precinct chair of Precinct 4059 in Bexar County and extend to |
|
|
this dedicated community leader sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Dave Abdel as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
