	H.R. No. 2093



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Michael Cloud concluded his outstanding seven-year
	tenure as chair of the Victoria County Republican Party on May 1,
	2017; and
	WHEREAS, Admired for his energy and passion, Mr. Cloud
	assembled a strong team and worked tirelessly in behalf of party
	goals; his many responsibilities included conducting primary
	elections, organizing precinct and county conventions, and guiding
	public relations and communications; in addition, he worked with
	the executive committee to oversee such matters as fund-raising and
	the formulation of campaign strategy; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Cloud has won praise from across the political
	spectrum for his collegiality, professionalism, and measured
	contributions to the public discourse; he will continue to
	represent Senate District 18 on the State Republican Executive
	Committee, and he has also established a political action
	committee; and
	WHEREAS, The founder of Bright Idea Media, Mr. Cloud holds a
	degree in mass media communications from Oral Roberts University;
	before launching his own company, he directed communications and
	marketing at Faith Family Church for 15 years; and
	WHEREAS, Through his dedicated leadership, Michael Cloud has
	contributed significantly to the success of the Republican Party in
	Victoria County, and he has earned the lasting respect and
	admiration of all who are privileged to know him; now, therefore, be
	it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
	Legislature hereby honor Michael Cloud for his service as chair of
	the Victoria County Republican Party and extend to him sincere best
	wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Cloud as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
