R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Gillespie County |
|
contribute immeasurably to Central Texas as civic leaders and |
|
volunteers; and |
|
WHEREAS, This exceptional program provides opportunities for |
|
participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and |
|
infrastructure and to visit with the leaders who are making |
|
decisions that affect their communities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a |
|
diverse membership with personal leadership training, networking |
|
opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable figures |
|
representing both the public and private sectors; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and |
|
involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Gillespie |
|
County is helping to create a brighter and more promising future for |
|
the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its |
|
promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its |
|
participants sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
achievement; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
