R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Victor Gonzalez of Starr County has inspired |
|
|
innumerable people through his great kindness; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although he is only eight years old, Victor has |
|
|
already demonstrated exceptional thoughtfulness and compassion; he |
|
|
is undergoing treatment for bone cancer and leukemia, but despite |
|
|
his own health challenges, he shows tremendous concern for others; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Victor learned that his hospital roommate was about |
|
|
to turn two years old, and he wanted to assist in marking this |
|
|
special occasion; he posted a request on Facebook, and his |
|
|
relatives joined in raising enough money to host a birthday party |
|
|
for the little girl at the local Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant; to |
|
|
acknowledge his selflessness, Action 4 News recognized him in its |
|
|
Pay It 4Ward program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his generosity, Victor Gonzalez brought joy |
|
|
to a smaller child and her family, and in so doing, he has touched |
|
|
the hearts of many and set an example of selflessness for people of |
|
|
all ages; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Victor Gonzalez for |
|
|
his good deed and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Victor Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
