A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to an entity responsible for the local share of qualified |
|
|
project costs under the ship channel improvement revolving fund. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 56.003, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) An entity responsible for the local share of qualified |
|
|
project costs under Subsection (a) must be: |
|
|
(1) a navigation district created under Section 52, |
|
|
Article III, or Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, and |
|
|
operating under Chapter 60, 61, 62, or 63, Water Code; or |
|
|
(2) a municipality or board of trustees under Chapter |
|
|

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
