relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation | ||
to provide department services on federal military property. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 201.1056(a), Transportation Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(a) The department may enter into an agreement with the | ||
United States Department of Defense or another federal entity to | ||
allow the department to assist with the provision of any department | ||
services, including road maintenance, improvement, relocation, or | ||
extension services, for military installations. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
