A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the abolishment of the County Court at Law No. 3 of
  Dallas County, County Court at Law No. 4 of Dallas County, and
  County Court at Law No. 5 of Dallas County and the transfer of cases
  to the County Court at Law No. 1 of Dallas County and County Court at
  Law No. 2 of Dallas County.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 25.0591(a), Government Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (a)  Dallas County has the following county courts at law:
               (1)  County Court of Dallas County at Law No. 1; and
               (2)  County Court of Dallas County at Law No. 2[;
               [(3)  County Court of Dallas County at Law Number 3;
               [(4)  County Court of Dallas County at Law Number 4; and
               [(5)  County Court of Dallas County at Law No. 5].
         SECTION 2.  On the date the County Court at Law No. 3 of
  Dallas County, County Court at Law No. 4 of Dallas County, and
  County Court at Law No. 5 of Dallas County are abolished, all cases
  pending in those courts are transferred to the County Court at Law
  No. 1 of Dallas County or County Court at Law No. 2 of Dallas County
  as determined by the judges of County Court at Law No. 1 of Dallas
  County and County Court at Law No. 2 of Dallas County. When a case
  is transferred from one court to another as provided by this
  section, all processes, writs, bonds, recognizances, or other
  obligations issued from the transferring court are returnable to
  the court to which the case is transferred as if originally issued
  by that court. The obligees in all bonds and recognizances taken in
  and for a court from which a case is transferred and all witnesses
  summoned to appear in a court from which a case is transferred are
  required to appear before the court to which a case is transferred
  as if originally required to appear before the court to which the
  transfer is made.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect December 31, 2018.
