Summary

Secretary of Administration; transfer of powers and duties; elimination of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Eliminates the position of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and transfers all powers and duties of the Secretary of the Commonwealth to the Secretary of Administration. The bill provides that wherever in the Code of Virginia the term "Secretary of the Commonwealth" is used, it shall be deemed to mean the Secretary of Administration. The bill makes the Secretary of Administration responsible for the Division of Executive Support, formerly the duties of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
