Commending Virginia S. Perrin.

WHEREAS, Virginia S. Perrin has served the members of Deep Run Hunt Club in Goochland County as the master of foxhounds for more than two decades and promoted fair and safe hunting throughout the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Virginia "Ginny" S. Perrin is a highly respected foxhound breeder, with a crossbred pack that adheres to strict guidelines, reflecting excellent pedigree and performance; and

WHEREAS, Ginny Perrin promotes the preservation of open spaces and the conservation of wildlife and the Commonwealth's valuable natural resources; and

WHEREAS, over the course of her career, Ginny Perrin has been a trusted source of institutional knowledge at Deep Run Hunt Club, keeping alive traditions that stretch back decades to the club's founding in the late 1800s; and

WHEREAS, Ginny Perrin has been a mentor to countless young people, imparting both her love of hunting and her appreciation for the great outdoors to new generations of hunters; and

WHEREAS, through her inspirational leadership, perseverance, and strength of character, Ginny Perrin has maintained and enhanced the sport of fox hunting in the Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Virginia S. Perrin for her outstanding service as master of foxhounds at Deep Run Hunt Club and her legacy of contributions to the hunting community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Virginia S. Perrin as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her personal and professional achievements.
