WHEREAS, Virginia Marie Dodson of Midland, a school bus driver and chef, and a beloved homemaker who was devoted to her family, died on December 22, 2015; and WHEREAS, Virginia Dodson was born in Fauquier County into a large family; she spent much time with children during her life, raising a large family of her own and working for the Fauquier County Public Schools as a bus driver; and WHEREAS, in addition to her work as a bus driver for the public school system, Virginia Dodson was well known in Fauquier County for her work as a chef at the historic Fauquier Springs Country Club; and WHEREAS, Virginia Dodson was a beloved mother and grandmother and a devoted homemaker; she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, appreciating the love and warmth that she found in the hours she shared with her family; and WHEREAS, predeceased by her husband, Robert, and daughter, Karen, Virginia Dodson will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Robert, Jr., Patricia, Linda, Steve, Earnest, Dennis, Kenneth, Kevin, and Diane, and their families, and many other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Virginia Marie Dodson of Midland, a school bus driver, chef, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Virginia Marie Dodson as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory. |
