The purpose of this bill is to remove the requirement for the Consolidated Public Retirement Board to set the employer contribution rate by legislative rule; to require termination of a disability annuity when CPRB determines that the retirant has engaged in substantial gainful activity; to require termination of a disability annuity when a partially disabled retirant becomes employed as a law-enforcement officer; to provide for reapplication of disability retirement within 90 days of effective termination; to clarify that those who are terminated may apply for regular retirement benefits upon eligibility; and to make technical corrections in sections two and five of this article.
