PROPOSED
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2133

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. Study committee on solar panel disposal; membership; duties; report; delayed repeal
A. The study committee on solar panel disposal is established consisting of members appointed by the legislature.
B. A majority of the members of the committee constitutes a quorum. The committee shall study the abandonment, recycling and disposal of solar panels in this state.
C. On request of the committee, an agency of this state or a political subdivision of this state shall provide the committee with its services, equipment, documents, personnel and facilities to the extent possible without cost to the committee.
D. The committee may use the services of legislative staff to provide necessary administrative and operational services.
E. On or before December 31, 2024, the committee shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the governor, the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives and shall provide a copy of this report to the secretary of state.
F. This section is repealed from and after September 30, 2025."
