FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Specifies that the Department of Administration and agencies excluded from the state motor vehicle fleet must collectively reduce their vehicle fleet by up to 10 percent for FY 2019 and FY 2020.
2. Allows the Department of Child Safety to evaluate methods of reducing costs to Arizona related to state owned vehicles and employee mileage reimbursement and evaluate using public-private partnerships for employee travel and provide a report on their efforts in FY 2019 and FY 2020.
3. Exempts community college districts.
4. Makes clarifying changes.

"C. Notwithstanding subsection B of this section, the department of child safety shall complete a study of the department's efforts to reduce the number of light motor vehicles that are in the department's state motor vehicle fleet and to reduce the amount of reimbursement for mileage paid to state employees in fiscal years 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, including efforts made in fiscal years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. The department of child safety shall evaluate the use of transportation network companies, vehicle for hire companies, fleet management companies, rental car companies and other public-private partnerships to provide transportation for state officers and employees. On or before December 1, 2019 and December 1, 2020, the department of child safety shall submit a report on the results of the study to the governor, the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives and provide a copy of this report to the secretary of state."
