FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

 

            The Yarbrough Floor Amendment makes a clarifying change to applicability language of the bill.

 

Background:

 

            A representative of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants expressed concern that the placement of the date language (“…IN A TAXABLE YEAR BEGINNING BEFORE January 1, 2013”) could potentially be misinterpreted by the court. Relocation of this phrase may aid possible interpretations of legislative intent.
