FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

 

1.   Removes the requirement that any candidate for nomination submit at least 0.125 percent of the total qualified signers in the state.

 

2.   Adds an emergency clause.

After line 44, insert:

"Sec. 3. Emergency

This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law."
