FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Changes the retroactive effective date from January 1, 2018, to June 1, 2015.
2. Specifies that the generation of 0.25 average daily membership (ADM) for every five community college credits applies to credits for career technical education courses.
3. Removes the requirement that a career technical education district (CTED) student enrolled in a course that meets for at least 150 minutes per class period at a centralized or leased centralized campus generates 0.75 ADM.
4. Removes the requirement that a part-time CTED student enrolled in one or two courses that meet for at least 300 hours at a centralized campus generates 0.5 ADM.
5. Removes the following prescribed hour requirements for a part-time CTED student at a leased centralized campus to generate partial ADM:
a) 0.25 ADM, if the student is a part-time CTED student enrolled in an instructional program of one course meeting for at least 150 hours;
b) 0.5 ADM, if the student is a part-time CTED student enrolled in an instructional program of one or two courses that meet for at least 300 hours; and
c) 0.75 ADM, if the student is a part-time CTED student enrolled in an instructional program between one and three courses that meet for at least 450 hours.
