FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
· Clarifies hospital systems contracted with AHCCCS are not included in the prohibition relating to the discipline of health care professionals who educate and advise patients about lawful health care services.
· States this section does not impair or contradict any other state law regarding lawful healthcare services.
· Clarifies the definition of off-label use.
· States this section does not prohibit a health profession regulatory board from taking action if a health care professional commits unprofessional conduct arising out of the conduct specified in this section, and states that unprofessional conduct does not include conduct by a health professional who is acting within the minimum standards of practice as determined by the health professional’s health profession regulatory board.

Line 14, after "services" insert "that is allowed under state law"
Between lines 36 and 37, insert:
