AN ACT
Prohibiting public funding of litigation challenging federal health care reform legislation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Prohibiting tax revenue funding of legal challenge to federal health care reform legislation
A. Notwithstanding any other law, no officer or member of the legislature, elected or appointed officer of this state or employee of this state may use public monies for the purpose of entering into a contingency fee contract or any other contract with a private attorney for legal representation in or legal support for litigation challenging the constitutionality of federal health care reform legislation providing health care coverage for qualifying individuals or requiring individuals to purchase health care insurance.
B. Any such contract entered into after the effective date of this act is void.
C. Any such contract entered into on or before the effective date of this act is subject to rescission within the terms of the contract.
Sec. 2. Retroactivity
This act is effective retroactively to March 29, 2010.
