An Act
appropriating monies to the department of transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; State Route 89; matching monies
A. The sum of $18,400,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of transportation for improvements to State Route 89, including construction of a roundabout between Road 3 North and Road 5 North.
B. The department of transportation may spend the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section only when the town of Chino Valley demonstrates to the department that the town has a commitment of at least $2,045,000 in matching monies of gifts, grants and donations from sources other than this state for the project.
