AN ACT
amending section 28‑4139, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to vehicle insurance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 28-4139, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
28-4139. License plate display violation; civil penalty; disposition
A. Display of A person who displays a license plate on a motor vehicle if the registration or license plate has been suspended pursuant to this article shall is subject the person involved to a civil penalty of not less than two hundred fifty dollars in an amount to be determined by the court.
B. The court shall impose the penalty pursuant to this section in addition to any other penalties imposed pursuant to this article.
C. Suspended license plates shall be confiscated at the time of citation, and all penalties imposed pursuant to this section shall be paid to the general fund of the state agency or political subdivision of the citing officer.
D. The department shall provide information on suspended license plates to law enforcement agencies.
