AN ACT
Amending title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1962.01; relating to the Arizona state board of pharmacy.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1962.01, to read:
32-1962.01. Prescription drugs; nonprescription drugs; advertisements; requirements for major statement; definition
A. Any advertisement in this state for a human prescription drug or nonprescription drug that is in a television or radio format or on the internet must meet the following requirements relating to the major statement:
1. The audio information must be presented in the same volume, articulation and pacing used in the rest of the advertisement.
2. The advertisement may not include audio or visual elements, alone or in combination, that are likely to interfere with a person's understanding of the major statement.
B. For the purposes of this section, "major statement" means the information relating to the major side effects and contraindications of the prescription drug.
