AN ACT
Amending title 32, CHAPTER 19.1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-2077; relating to the board of psychologist examiners.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 19.1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-2077, to read:
32-2077. Prescription authority; certification; rules
A. A psychologist who is licensed pursuant to this chapter and who wishes to prescribe medication for the treatment of conditions directly related to behavioral health must be certified pursuant to this section and comply with board rules adopted pursuant to this section.
B. The board shall adopt rules relating to the prescribing of medication pursuant to subsection A. The rules shall include minimum education, training, continuing education and supervision requirements and a formulary of medications that psychologists may prescribe.
C. A psychologist who wishes to prescribe medication must apply for certification as prescribed by the board by rule. The board by rule may prescribe an application fee and an annual certification renewal fee.
