An Act

 

appropriating monies to the Arizona department of housing.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriation; Arizona department of housing; legal aid; evictions; intent

A. The sum of $5,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2024-2025 to the Arizona department of housing to distribute to entities that provide free or reduced fee legal services to persons who are facing eviction from residential housing.

B. The legislature intends that the appropriation made in subsection A of this section be considered ongoing funding in future years.
