AN ACT
appropriating
monies to the tourism fund.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; tourism fund; office of tourism
A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2020‑2021:
1. The sum of $1,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the tourism fund established by section 41-2306, Arizona Revised Statutes.
2. One FTE position is appropriated in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the office of tourism.
B. The
office of tourism shall allocate the appropriation made in subsection A of this
section as follows:
1. $500,000
to address impacts caused by increased tourism in rural areas in this state.
2. $500,000
to increase the level of promotional advertising in target cities outside this
state where residents have shown a high propensity for travel to this state.
