AN ACT
APPROPRIATING monies to the department of water resources.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of water resources; infrastructure; drought contingency plan; exemption
A. The sum of $20,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2019-2020 to the department of water resources to distribute to irrigation and water conservation districts organized pursuant to title 48, chapter 19, Arizona Revised Statutes, in counties with a population of at least three hundred fifty thousand persons but less than five hundred thousand persons for infrastructure related to this state's drought contingency plan.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
