An Act
appropriating monies to the department of health services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of health services; trauma-informed training; intent
A. The sum of $________ is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of health services for trauma-informed training. The department shall use these monies to contract with an entity to provide a twelve-month training program that includes providing:
1. Training and technical assistance for participating organizations in identifying needs and assessing change relating to trauma-informed assessment, inquiries and protocols.
2. Technical assistance to review policies and procedures that need to be aligned in a trauma-informed way.
3. Regional coordinators to provide technical assistance, including organizational visits, training and facilitating a community of practice, to the trauma-informed ambassadors within a participating organization.
B. The legislature intends that each full-time regional coordinator not support more than twenty participating organizations each year.
