AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 3, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-397; relating to joint technical EDUCATION districts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 3, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-397, to read:

START_STATUTE15-397.  School district buildings; notice to joint districts

If a school district intends to sell or lease a vacant and unused building or portion of a building, the school district shall give written notice to the governing board of each joint technical education district in this state.  Notwithstanding any other law, a school district may not negotiate to sell or lease the property with any potential buyer or lessee other than a joint district during the first ninety days after giving notice pursuant to this section.  END_STATUTE
