HOUSE RESOLUTION 2011

A RESOLUTION

honoring the chandler chamber of commerce for one hundred years of service to the people and businesses of chandler.

Whereas, the State of Arizona has been marked with challenges throughout its history. These challenges have always been met by this state's citizens and businesses with great diligence and effort. Many people and organizations deserve recognition for these efforts, though in particular there must be special recognition for the chambers of commerce; and

Whereas, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce has gone above and beyond its duties, acting as a leader in fostering a premiere community and serving as a catalyst for facilitating economic prosperity. The Chandler Chamber of Commerce supports businesses and its community by providing vital programs that help to attract and retain businesses; and

Whereas, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce itself provides many services and amenities to its 1,000 businesses and the 75,000 people who are in their employment. The Chandler Chamber of Commerce creates a network for businesses to better connect with each other and has made it a priority to groom and prepare young business leaders in order to gain a competitive advantage in the future; and

Whereas, among the many economic benefits the Chandler Chamber of Commerce provides is its positive impact in the community. Among its many accomplishments, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce annually holds the Chandler Ostrich Festival, which has been renowned across the state and nation for its success.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona:

That the Members of the House of Representatives extend special recognition to the Chandler Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its centennial, April 27, 2012, and commend this worthwhile organization for its outstanding record of service to the Chandler community.
