AN ACT
Amending title 32, chapter 32, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32‑3226; relating to health professionals.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 32, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-3226, to read:
32-3226. Health professionals; punishment prohibited; definition
A. This state, any political subdivision of this state or any department or agency of this state, including a health profession regulatory board, may not punish a health professional if a patient, at any point during treatment, declines any of the following:
1. Any testing.
2. A procedure.
3. A recommendation of the health professional, including a transfer of care.
B. For the purposes of this section, "punish" means to impose any penalty, sanction or disciplinary action.
