AN ACT
Relating to insurance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Rulemaking; unfair claims settlement practices; coordination of benefits; exemption
A. The department of insurance and financial institutions shall adopt rules that substantially conform to the current version of the national association of insurance commissioners unfair claims settlement practices model act and that are consistent with section 20‑461, Arizona Revised Statutes.
B. Pursuant to section 20‑1134, Arizona Revised Statutes, the department of insurance and financial institutions shall amend the rules governing coordination of benefits.
C. Notwithstanding any other law, for the purposes of this section, the department of insurance and financial institutions is exempt from the rulemaking requirements of title 41, chapter 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, for one year after the effective date of this act.
