An Act
amending title 16, chapter 6, article 1.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-905.01; relating to campaign contributions and expenses.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 16, chapter 6, article 1.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-905.01, to read:
16-905.01. Election officer; committee membership; prohibition; exception
a. An individual who is an elected election officer or a political appointee of an elected election officer who oversees any matter with which the individual is directly concerned and in which the individual has personally participated during the individual's employment or service by a substantial and material exercise of administrative discretion over any aspect of election operations may not be a chairperson, treasurer or other member of a political action committee.
B. This section does not apply to an individual's membership in a candidate committee for that individual's own candidacy.
