AN ACT
Amending title 36, chapter 28.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-2820; relating to medical marijuana.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Subject to the requirements of article IV, part 1, section 1, Constitution of Arizona, title 36, chapter 28.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-2820, to read:
36-2820. Residency and location requirements; distribution restrictions
A. A registered qualifying patient, a designated caregiver and a nonprofit medical marijuana dispensary agent must be residents of this state.
B. A nonprofit medical marijuana dispensary must be located in this state, may not import medical marijuana into this state from any location outside of this state and may not export medical marijuana to any location outside this state.
Sec. 2. Requirements for enactment; three-fourths vote
Pursuant to article IV, part 1, section 1, Constitution of Arizona, section 36-2820, Arizona Revised Statutes, as added by this act, is effective only on the affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the members of each house of the legislature.
