An act relating to greenhouse gases.

AB 1431, as introduced, Burke. Greenhouse gases: education, career technical education, job training, and workforce development.
Existing law requires the California Workforce Development Board, in consultation with the State Air Resources Board, to report to the Legislature on the need for increased education, career technical education, job training, and workforce development resources or capacity to help industry, workers, and communities transition to economic and labor-market changes related to statewide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation on the need for increased education, career technical education, job training, and workforce development resources or capacity to help industry, workers, and communities transition to economic and labor-market changes related to statewide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals in response to the report.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation on the need for increased education, career technical education, job training, and workforce development resources or capacity to help industry, workers, and communities transition to economic and labor-market changes related to statewide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals in response to the report required pursuant to Section 38591.3 of the Health and Safety Code.
