LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
Existing law authorizes a city or county, by ordinance or resolution, to adopt a golf cart transportation plan. Existing law authorizes a city or county that adopts a golf cart transportation plan to acquire, by dedication, purchase, or condemnation, real property to establish golf cart lanes and establish a golf cart transportation plan, as provided.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the latter provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 101.17 is added to the Streets and Highways Code, to read:101.17.
The department shall install electric vehicle charging station signage along each state highway for each electric vehicle charging station that meets the eligibility requirements for the department’s zero-emission general service sign program.A city or county that adopts a golf cart transportation plan may do either or both of the following:
(a)Acquire, by dedication, purchase, or condemnation, real property, including easements or rights-of-way, to establish golf cart lanes.
(b)Establish a golf cart transportation plan as authorized by this chapter.
