	BILL TEXT

INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Harkey

                        FEBRUARY 23, 2012

An act to amend Section 811.6 of the Government Code, relating to
government liability.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2079, as introduced, Harkey. Government liability.
Existing law governs the tort liability and immunity of, and
claims and actions against, public entities and their officers and
employees. Existing law defines the term "regulation" for purposes of
those provisions as a rule, regulation, order, or standard, having
the force of law, adopted by an employee or agency pursuant to
certain federal and state laws, as specified.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these
provisions.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 811.6 of the Government Code is amended to

that is adopted by an employee or agency of the
United States pursuant to the federal Administrative Procedure Act
(Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 500) of Title 5 of the United
