CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2021–2022 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill
No. 2468

Introduced by Assembly Member Bloom

February 17, 2022

An act to amend Section 2540 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2468, as introduced, Bloom. Licenses.
Existing law authorizes the Commissioner of the California Highway Patrol to issue licenses for the operation of privately owned and operated ambulances used to respond to emergency calls, armored cars, fleet owner inspection and maintenance stations, and for the transportation of hazardous material. Existing law allows the commissioner to suspend or revoke a license the commissioner has issued.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 2540 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:

2540.

The proceedings under this article shall be conducted in accordance with Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 11500) of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code, and the commissioner shall have all the powers granted therein.
