   An act to amend Section 701 of the Penal Code, relating to crimes.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2473, as introduced, Jones-Sawyer. Information of threatened
offense.
   Existing law authorizes an information to be laid before a
magistrate, as specified, that a person has threatened to commit an
offense against the person or property of another.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 701 of the Penal Code is amended to read:
   701.   An information   Information 
 that a person has threatened to commit an offense against the
person or property of another  may be  laid 
 brought  before any of the magistrates mentioned in Section
 808, that a person has threatened to commit an offense
